We love our city & we’re on mission to dominate.

Less than one in five people attend church in this city. In other words, there are over one million people in North East Florida that have yet to be reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ or have fallen away from the local church. We think that is a lot of people and we are here to change that.

We are not taking this step because we think that a great move of God can only come through us, but we are drop dead serious about this thing called the church. The vision of Newsong Church is to “illuminate the city of Jacksonville with the life and light of Christ”. We accomplish that vision by building practical, bible based followers of Jesus Christ who know what they believe and why they believe it. We constantly strive to be BOLD in our approach, ALIVE in our expression, and UNLEASHED into our culture and community.

Newsong Church is a move of God where you can make your life count for something greater. Our competition is not with “the church up the street”. We believe that our competition is the Sunday Jaguars game, the beach, the bars, and anything else that pulls our culture’s attention away from the house of God. We have no desire to gain an edge on other churches, but to gain an edge on a godless community that leaves so many hopeless and alone.

We are a warm, welcoming, place where people can bring their hurts, habits and hang ups, as well as build their lives around a solid foundation and be in relationship with others. We will without compromise and unapologetically proclaim the gospel of  Jesus Christ as the only name under heaven by which men can be saved (Acts 4:12). We will not attempt to hide or water down this truth in anyway. We will, however, aggressively harness the culture and present our worship experience with relevance, style, and substance; minimizing traditional elements that have defined the church in past centuries. We will strive to be a church of such significant impact, the local community cannot ignore it. We ultimately believe that if we “lift Jesus up, then all men will be drawn unto Him” (John 12:32).
